About William Schafranek
Dr. Schafranek is an interventional cardiologist at Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates. After completing a residency training program in internal medicine at St. Vincents Hospital in Manhattan, he went on to complete a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases and hypertension and interventional cardiology at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention. He is currently the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, as well as the Director of the Primary PCI program. Dr. Schafranek performs not only cardiac interventions but is also well experienced in peripheral vascular interventions.
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Schafranek resides in Readington Township with his wife, Ludmila, and their three sons. He enjoys rooting for the New York Yankees and the New Jersey Devils. Fluent in Russian, he also enjoys reading about Russian history.
